“I was very lucky to find Hannah and Leo, her advanced schoolmaster. I had been looking for a schoolmaster to teach me the feel of the more advanced moves and to help me with my basic riding position. My previous competition experience was on an older horse whom has since retired. I then moved on to bringing on my young horse, Goodwills Westminster. Hannah has given me the confidence to compete him and I am now gaining over 70%, which I did not previously think possible. Both Hannah and Leo have a wealth of knowledge which bring out the best of my abilities.”

“As a schoolmaster, Leo is the perfect horse to ride – his wealth of experience means he often anticipates what the next move is and helps me to get it right, and if I am making a mistake with my signals to him. Leo is very adept at letting me know if I am doing something wrong, all this combined has made it much easier for me to improve my riding on him than it would have been on another horse.” “Hannah is a fantastic teacher, she is always patient and is full of encouragement. She gives praise whenever it is deserved and she corrects errors in a very positive way and never makes you feel that you are doing badly or making a mess of things. Most importantly, Hannah really knows her stuff when it comes to teaching riding and that is invaluable. I feel very lucky to be one of her pupils.”

Last winter, I was really struggling with my dressage, and in Junior eventing, this phase probably has the most bearing on the final result. Therefore when I realised that I had to improve to make an impact at the Junior trials, I turned to Hannah Biggs. Over the winter months, we worked on both my juniors horse Undulette and my youngster, Torpedo. Hannah was really helpful because she managed to fit in around my busy school schedule and was able to come out to visit me. She quickly worked out the root of my problems, and whilst concentrating on improving the basics, I also learnt skills to earn me the easy marks which I had been throwing away. Hannah has the ability to pick up on the smallest details, which change the whole picture once corrected, and all my trainers back home immediately noticed my improvement. She is also an amazingly talented rider, and I always look forward to her working miracles on my horses who suddenly behave when she gets on! When the season started, and I began to find it more difficult to fit in regular lessons, I was so grateful for my intensive training over the winter- all the useful exercises Hannah taught me have featured in my schooling, and my competition warm up. It is definitely down to do with Hannah that I improved 14 marks, from my first CCI** in September 2007, to my second in September 2008!! She is a brilliant at listening to how you feel the horse is going, and has made me much more competitive, both on the home and international scenes.
